Stevens Lawson wins for three projects at the NZIA Local Architecture Awards

This year Stevens Lawson Architects were the proud recipients of three awards at the Auckland Architecture Awards hosted by the NZIA.

The redevelopment of Ellen Melville Centre and Freyberg Place won in its category for a heritage award, a tireless project worked in collaboration with Isthmus and John Reynolds; which saw the redevelopment of the public square and the mid-century Tibor Donnor Pioneer Women’s Hall combine to create a revitalised community centre for the inhabitants of Auckland City.

Sunderland 6, won in its multi residential category for this coastal development of 14 homes in the growing Hobsonville precinct. These homes are designed balancing domestic typologies and a coastal aesthetic.

Rawene House, won a residential award for this waterfront home that overlooks the Waitematā Harbour. This house simply designed and meticulously crafted; with a client committed to eastern spirituality, provides generous and calming spaces indoor and out to create a home of calm and tranquility.
